Artic Plus -25 Ice melter

Articplus -25® is a mix of salt and calcium chloride. It was designed for harsh weather conditions and for use in areas at higher risk of accidents or falls, such as sloped roads or walkways, stairs, sidewalks, etc. It is an exothermic road salt that generates heat upon contact with snow or ice. It is specially designed to lower the risk of dragging road salt into your buildings. Its varied particle size ensures its effectiveness.

Articplus -25® does not damage asphalt or concrete from a chemical perspective. Snowmelt runoff may seep into porous concrete and freeze again, the pressure of which may lead to the spalling or shrinkage of weak concrete.

Articplus -25® is not recommended for ice removal on concrete surfaces which are less than one year old, on prefabricated concrete steps, on existing concrete masonry surfaces (stone, bricks, mortar joints) with apparent aggregates, or on prefabricated, pre-stressed, flaky, cracked, crumbling or weather-worn concrete. Avoid all contact with leather items.

For best results, always scrape the application surface and clear it of snow before applying the product. The recommended application quantity is 0.14 to 0.28 kg per m2 (equivalent to one cup per m2). After application, shovel the remaining snowmelt, keeping it away from shrubbery, flowers, or grass cover. Thick ice may require additional applications. However, excessive doses may lead to the introduction of de-icing agent inside your buildings.
